Amex Colleague Experience Group

Working with American Express to increase consideration amongst job seekers, we execute at various DE&I recruiting events, focusing on Black and Hispanic talent across industries. As part of the execution, we have our career fair booth presence, which has been a very successful Cafe concept, onsite interview rooms for candidates, and a colleague office hours kickoff event for Amex colleagues to gather and meet one another in this hybrid work environment.

DESIGN CHALLENGE How can we build off the success of the past two years? How can we strategically utilize space to accommodate large Amex delegations? How can we BUILD a booth that can be modular, travel, accommodate various load in times, etc. all at the same time?

SOLUTION ‍

• ADAPTIVE Built using BeMatrix wall systems easily adapting to changing needs. From the walls to the height of the header everything is flexible and interchangeable allowing this bar to adapt to any convention hall regulation or footprint requirement.

• MODULAR Having a suite of assets allows us to flex and reconfigure for any show making each activation unique yet cohesive. We can go as large as a 50x50 or as small as a 20x20.

• COMPACT Designed to get more seating in a smaller square footage while remaining flexible for ADA requirements. The booths back to back design allows the seating clusters to get compact while the chairs on the ends allow flexibility for folks with different comfort levels or ADA requirements.

• PRIVATE Divider walls create privacy for interviewees for focused conversations. Show floors can be chaotic and distracting, but creating privacy, we make the interview space feel more personal. This feature also enhances higher visibility for signage and navigation above the crowds.

• FUNCTIONAL Added storage underneath the bench and a cabinet in between the seats allows Amex colleagues to hide their personal belongings. Built in closet space serves as additional BOH storage and entry and exit into the booth.

Responsible for design and function of the build, 3D models and the material selections, the space layout and flow, directing graphics, sourcing all furniture and props, and lastly working with vendors and reviewing fabrication drawings.
